This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Dental Nurse Training Certificate in Fluoride Varnish Application platform, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.

When you enrol on the course we collect:
Why: To administer your course enrolment, verify your GDC registration, issue your CPD certificate and contact you about your course.
Legal basis: Contractual necessity - this data is required to provide the service you have purchased.
Your email address and password are used to create your course account. Passwords are never stored by us - they are managed entirely by Google Firebase Authentication using industry-standard encryption. We cannot see your password.
We store your quiz scores, module progress, submitted written work, practical portfolio, reflective account and assessor feedback. This data is used to administer your course assessment and issue your certificate.
When you register a clinical supervisor, we store their name, email address and GDC registration number. We also store the digital supervisor agreement they sign, including their name, GDC number and the date and time of signing.
Why: To verify the authenticity of your supervised clinical practice for CPD purposes.
We store a record of your signed learner declaration including your full name as entered and the date and time of signing. This forms part of your course record.
All course data is stored using Google Firebase, with data held in the United Kingdom (London). Google Firebase is UK GDPR compliant and Google acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement with Dental Nurse Training Ltd.
Submitted coursework files are stored in Google Firebase Storage. Course data is stored in Google Firestore.

Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never see, store or handle your card details - they are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment system. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with:
We retain your course record (including your certificate details) for 7 years from the date of course completion. This is to allow you to request proof of your CPD record if needed.
If you do not complete the course, your data is retained for 2 years from enrolment and then deleted.

This platform uses only essential functional cookies - specifically Firebase Authentication session tokens which keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted). Access to learner data is restricted to authorised Dental Nurse Training staff only. Firebase security rules ensure learners can only access their own records.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Significant changes will be communicated by email.
